Dr. Jona Szakacs was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta.  He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery in London, Ontario at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University.  After graduation from dental school, he completed a one-year, postgraduate general practice residency program at the University of Alberta and has enjoyed living and working in the city of Edmonton ever since.

Dr. Szakacs provides a broad scope of services including Invisalign, select dental implant placement, wisdom tooth removal, molar endodontics and is certified in providing multiple methods of sedation including intravenous conscious sedation.  He understands that visiting the dentist can be a stressful experience and prides himself in providing excellent clinical care with a gentle touch.

As a former wildland firefighter, Dr. Szakacs will tell you that there is no such thing as too much fresh air. When he is not at work you can find him playing tennis in Kinsmen Park, mountain biking in the river valley, or snowboarding and splitboarding in the mountains.  He looks forward to meeting you and hopes to see you soon.

Dr. Poonam Atwal, originally from Edmonton and professionally trained in Sydney, Australia, is an enthusiastic dentist committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. She places great emphasis on fostering strong connections with her patients, taking the time to address their concerns and ensure a comfortable and positive experience during every dental visit. Fluent in both English and Punjabi, Dr. Atwal values effective communication with her diverse clientele.

Outside of the dental practice, Dr. Atwal finds joy in traveling, exploring the outdoors, sampling new culinary delights, and cherishing moments with her loved ones. She firmly believes that a healthy smile is integral to overall health and happiness, and she is dedicated to assisting her patients in achieving smiles they can truly take pride in.

Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Dr. Olsen grew up on a ranch near Hill Spring. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Education degree and taught school for 6 years before deciding to enter the field of dentistry. In 1986 Dr. Olsen graduated from the University of Alberta dentistry program and began working in Vermillion, Alberta where he practiced for 19 years. He then moved his family to Lima, Peru for a few years where he provided charity dental services and taught at the College. Upon returning to Canada, Dr. Olsen practiced in BC for many years before moving to Edmonton to be near family. Over the years he has continued to travel with Kindness in Action to Central and South America to provide dental care, he also enjoys spending time outdoors horseback riding, swimming, riding motorcycles and camping.

Dr. Olsen enjoys all areas of dentistry including root canal services and extractions. He especially enjoys getting to know his patients and providing a comfortable environment for their care.
