Dr. Kowalchuk was born and raised in Calgary. He attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine, graduating top of his class in 2006. Working in health centers and community clinics gave Dr. Kowalchuk experience with many diverse patients and procedures, and he learned how to help all different types of patients.

Dr. Kowalchuk takes pride in staying up to date on the latest developments in dentistry. He believes that it’s important that he and his team are constantly developing their skills to take care of patients. He offers a range of general dental services and ensures that each person leaves with a plan in place to tackle their dental needs.

When not in the office, Dr. Kowalchuk can be found with his wife and seven children hiking, travelling or supporting several charitable and community organizations.

Dr. Cheung, a native to Calgary, has been working in the dental field for over 10 years. Her journey commenced after she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biology; when she began working as a sterilization technician and chairside assistant at a dental clinic. Dr. Cheung developed her passion for dentistry here and went on to pursue her dental hygiene degree in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia. After practicing as a dental hygienist for a few years, Dr. Cheung decided to return to school to become a dentist. She wanted to be able to do more for her patients.

Her journey took her on an adventure to Australia, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Sydney. While studying dentistry, Dr. Cheung participated in extracurricular elective programs in endodontics and emergency dentistry. She also completed a rural placement where she served communities with limited access to dental care.

This is something that she wishes to continue in the future. Dr. Cheung enjoys all aspects of dentistry and most of all, she loves building lasting relationships with her patients. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Cheung’s other passions are food and cooking. She enjoys travelling and spending time in the outdoors. Dr. Cheung recently welcomed a baby boy and loves spending time with him and her family.
